LLC “Turbocom” has been successfully operating for over 20 years, and exports its products to over 30 countries. The aim of the European Foundry project is to help the company’s products to enter new markets, where certification according to European Union standards is required. This will create benefits for both investors and city residents.
LLC “Turbocom”
LLC “Turbocom”, located in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, is a manufacturer of more than 120 models of turbines and 300 types of cartridges for trucks (KAMAZ, GAZ, GAZelle and others), passenger transport (PAZ, LIAZ, LAZ), agricultural machinery, and special equipment (Amkador, ChTZ).
The enterprise produces about 45,000 turbochargers per year. Moreover, the number of employees of Turbocom is over 500. The company timely fulfills credit obligations, and has planned the casting of 700 tons of finished products for 2021.
Furthermore, the company owns modern equipment to assure high-technology production: OKUMA, Gildemeister AG, OKK, Goodway, Deckel Maho, Fadal; and uses lathes, turning/milling and 3- and 5- axis machining with CNC.
Also, LLC “Turbocom” owns “LK MELT” workshop which casts all the aluminum parts of its turbochargers. In addition to this, all pig-iron details are cast by “Plant” Ekopromlit ” — pig-iron foundry which is a part of ” Turbocom ” company’s group. The company specializes in the production of cast iron and steel castings on gasified models by using Lost Foam technology.
European foundry
The project strives to attract investments for the construction of a new innovative production line. This will allow casting heat-resistant finished products, which will meet the European product certification. Also, the project is aimed at introduction of a new efficient casting technology.
The total investment required for the project is 5 million euros. This will cover purchase of production equipment, the introduction of new casting methods and technologies that will comply with the rules of European certification.
The project will result in the entry of products into new markets that require certification according to European Union standards. This will increase sales by 65-70%.
Moreover, the project will have a positive impact on Melitopol residents. It will help to create new job opportunities for skilled workers with high wages, improved working conditions, and an expanded social package.
